Nutrition
THE POINT works in partnership with over 23 local churches to provide a healthy dinner for students Monday-Thursday during the school year and both lunch and dinner during the summer. Without this program, many of our students would go hungry. Hunger has a direct impact not only on a child’s health, but on their capacity to focus and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Over the course of a year, THE POINT serves approximately 21,000 meals to children in our community. When needed, especially during the summer months, The POINT provides students and their families with “food boxes” and helps to connect them to local food cupboards.

Health
THE POINT provides financial assistance and referrals for students to receive professional counseling. THE POINT also facilitates school assemblies and provides supports like, art, recreation, and healthy meals to help students improve their physical and mental health.
