Attached are fliers for new pandemic SNAP for kids that were getting free school lunches. They will be getting SNAP cards in the mail for parents to use. IF already on SNAP the parents will see this increase. For most this will be automatic

The only folks that would need to apply- are those who had not been in the program- but who might qualify now- due to lack of income.  They should apply at their school website but can also apply on Compass- - for the National School Lunch program.

Legal Aid of Southeastern PA (LASP) & Phoenixville Public Library are hosting a virtual workshop on Wednesday, May 27th, at 10am.

LASP Staff Attorney Deborah Steeves will present an update on Unemployment Compensation/Pandemic Unemployment Assistance and will answer your questions.

One Time Payment through TANF, if you qualify till June 12.

If anyone has any clients that meet the following qualifications they may be eligible for this Program:

  • They are pregnant or have kids under 18, and
  • They were working on March 11th & lost hours for at least two weeks due to COVID, and
  • They have income below 150% of poverty, and
  • They have assets or savings of less than $1,000

They can apply through COMPASS! This is a one-time payment for two months worth of TANF benefits. The funds are limited and might be exhausted before the close date of June 12.
